Defending the nest!

The activity has slowed down a bit as Adam and Eve enjoy a little reprieve from their fervent nest building efforts. The nest must be nearly finished and ahead of Eve’s egg laying time… Better early than late!

However, an oft unattended new nest made from the hard work of Adam and Eve attracts the attention of those that might want a handout. A Robin, as a matter of fact, suddenly emerged from the pine (where the nest is) chased ferociously by both Adam and Eve!

I haven’t seen the robin back on this same location so hopefully she took heart and found her own spot and work ethic required to build a nest of her own.
